... A sideline to raising livestock for income production has been the fact that small scale projects help us to reach out to our community in beneficial ways. When the pastor walks around the village selling his cows' milk in jerry cans, the jobless young men, sitting around gambling, drinking and gossiping, notice and start asking questions. As humble as the non-commercial selling of milk may be, it's earning the pastor a small daily income. Now several of these boys have started raising some of their own livestock, knowing there can be a better financial future for them.
